Bonus terms: reading the text most people skip
By Ilze Krūmiņa · updated October 2026
Bonus terms are long legal text, but only a few clauses truly affect your withdrawal. This page highlights them so you know what to look for before ticking the bonus box. Exact formulas and numbers are the operator's; our job is to show the structure.
Exact percentages, wagering multipliers and deadlines are set by the operator's bonus terms. They change, so read the current version before you activate anything. Amounts in examples are in your account currency.
Seven clauses to find
| Clause | Why it matters for withdrawal |
|---|---|
| Wagering multiplier and base | How much you must bet before the bonus is withdrawable |
| Maximum bet | Breaking it can void the bonus and winnings |
| Game contribution and excluded games | Some bets do not count at all |
| Excluded payment methods | Some deposit methods do not qualify for the bonus |
| Maximum win from the bonus | Anything above the cap is removed |
| Deadline | After it, the bonus and its winnings disappear |
| Withdrawing with an active bonus | A request may cancel the bonus automatically |
"Irregular play" and similar wording
Many terms include a clause on irregular or strategic play: placing very low bets to clear wagering with minimal risk and then sharply raising stakes, betting on both sides of an outcome, or using only very low-volatility games with a bonus. These clauses are broad, and they are what operators cite when voiding winnings. If your play is ordinary and you respect the maximum bet, they should not affect you. But it is worth knowing they exist.
Multiple accounts and shared devices
Almost all terms forbid more than one account per person, and often more than one bonus per household, IP address or device. If two people in a home play from the same computer, that can raise questions at withdrawal time. The best approach is to ask support in advance and keep the written reply.
Versions and languages
Terms change. In a dispute, the version in force when you activated the bonus usually matters. Before activating a larger bonus, save a copy or a dated screenshot of the terms. If the terms exist in several languages and differ, they usually state which language prevails.
Before you activate
- Find the seven clauses above and write down the numbers.
- Calculate the total betting volume (how to).
- Compare it with your normal stake and how often you play.
- If it does not fit, deposit without the bonus — a perfectly normal choice.
If you are already in a dispute over voided winnings, start with Complaints and keep all correspondence. The bonus overview is on Bonuses; the withdrawal logic on Withdrawals.
