Refer a friend: a reward that depends on someone else's conditions
By Ilze Krūmiņa · updated October 2026
A referral programme promises a reward if someone you invite signs up and starts playing. The reward may be bonus money, free spins or real money. It sounds simple, but the conditions run both ways: some apply to you, some to your friend, and the payout depends on both.
Exact percentages, wagering multipliers and deadlines are set by the operator's bonus terms. They change, so read the current version before you activate anything. Amounts in examples are in your account currency.
What is typically required
- From your friend: sign-up via your link or code, verification, a minimum deposit and sometimes a set amount of betting in the first weeks.
- From you: an active, verified account without rule breaches.
- From both: different people, different addresses, different devices.
Why households matter
Referral programmes are most often abused by "referring" yourself or family members from the same device. So the terms usually exclude friends at the same address, IP address or with the same payment method. If you refer your partner and they play on your laptop, the reward may be refused and both accounts' bonuses reviewed. It is not a penalty on families, just protection against double bonuses.
Never someone else's documents
If someone offers to "help with registration" by borrowing your documents or lending theirs, decline. An account in another person's name breaks the terms, and the holder will face verification before any payout. You also put your personal data at risk. A referral programme is for telling a friend about a site, not for turning sign-ups into a trade.
When the reward can be withdrawn
| Reward type | What to do with it |
|---|---|
| Real money | Withdraw through the normal process after verification |
| Bonus money | Wager it under the bonus terms first |
| Free spins | Winnings usually become bonus money with wagering |
Often the reward is credited only after your friend has met every condition, which can take time. Until then there is nothing to withdraw. Wagering is explained on Wagering.
What to tell your friend honestly
If you recommend a site, mention the less pleasant parts too: document checks, wagering, withdrawal limits. Our Payments section is a good link to share. Remember that your friend must be at least 18. If a friend struggles with gambling, an invitation is not a friendly gesture — Responsible gambling is more useful.
