Pump It: a name about pumping, a decision about stopping

Pump It — game card

The Pump It card shows a shimmering, inflatable balloon-like character with a valve on an orange background. The name and the image suggest inflation — something that grows until it pops. Whether the game actually works that way we will not claim: the mechanics must be read in the rules. But you can prepare for either case.

We deliberately do not name the provider or the RTP of this game: we do not have consistent data from the provider or several independent sources. Check the current RTP in the game's information panel on your account.

First, find out what kind of game it is

Open the rules and answer one question: is it a normal reel slot, or a game where you decide when to "take" the win? These need very different approaches. In a slot you choose only the stake. In a game with a cash-out decision, every round is a choice between a smaller sure amount and a larger risky one.

If you have to decide when to cash out

  1. Set a target multiplier before the round and stick to it.
  2. Do not treat the last round's outcome as a "signal" — rounds are independent.
  3. If there is an auto cash-out setting, use it so the decision is not emotional.
  4. Set a number of rounds for the evening and stop when it is reached.

If it is a normal slot

Then the standard check applies: paytable, bonus-round trigger, maximum win and demo mode. A hundred demo spins show how often wins come and how large they are. Split your budget into at least a hundred bets.

Short rounds burn budgets faster

The shorter the round, the more rounds per evening and the faster the budget goes at the same stake. If a round lasts a few seconds, a hundred bets can vanish in minutes. For fast games, choose a smaller stake or count rounds rather than minutes. Every twenty rounds, look at the balance and decide consciously whether to continue.

Bonus terms

Games with very short rounds and a cash-out decision are sometimes excluded from wagering or count partly. Before playing with a bonus, check the contribution table. And watch the maximum bet — in fast rounds it is easy to break while trying to win back losses. More on Wagering.

When to stop

Fast games create the feeling that the next round will surely be lucky. That is an illusion. If you catch yourself chasing losses, stop and visit Responsible gambling. If the evening ends ahead, withdraw — the process is on Withdrawals. Other games on Games.
