Welcome bonus: the biggest offer with the longest road to a payout
By Ilze Krūmiņa · updated October 2026
The welcome bonus is the first offer a new player sees, and usually the largest. Often it is not one bonus but a package: a percentage on the first deposit, another on the second, plus free spins. Each part can have its own wagering, deadline and maximum bet. Here is how to add the package up into one number and understand what it means for your withdrawal.
Exact percentages, wagering multipliers and deadlines are set by the operator's bonus terms. They change, so read the current version before you activate anything. Amounts in examples are in your account currency.
Adding up a package: an example
An illustrative package: first deposit 100 with a 100% bonus, second deposit 100 with a 50% bonus, both with wagering of 35 times the bonus, plus 50 spins worth 0.20 each.
| Part | Bonus | Required bets |
|---|---|---|
| First deposit | 100 | 3,500 |
| Second deposit | 50 | 1,750 |
| Free spins | up to 10 in stakes | depends on winnings |
| Total | about 160 | more than 5,250 |
That is not an argument against the bonus — it is an honest figure to compare with your normal play. To unlock about 160 in bonus money you must bet over thirty times as much. If that matches how you play anyway, fine. If not, deposit without it.
The box that is already ticked
In many cashiers the welcome bonus is selected by default. If you miss it, your deposit is immediately subject to bonus rules. Before confirming, look at the cashier window and untick the box if you do not want the bonus. If it has already been applied, contact support before your first bet. More on How to deposit.
Deadlines across the package
A package may have an overall deadline for all parts and a separate wagering deadline for each. Sometimes the second part's clock starts at registration rather than at the second deposit. That difference matters and it is in the terms. Do not make a second deposit just because "otherwise the bonus will expire".
When to say no
- You mainly play live or table games, which contribute poorly to wagering.
- You want to make a small deposit and test a withdrawal early.
- The maximum bet with the bonus is lower than your usual stake.
- The deadline does not match how often you play.
Welcome bonus and your first withdrawal
The first withdrawal is already the slowest, because it includes verification. Add an active bonus with unfinished wagering and the road gets longer still. A good plan: a small first withdrawal without a bonus to see how the cashier works, then decide about the package. The maths is on Wagering; all bonuses on Bonuses.
