Open banking: paying from your bank without card details
By Ilze Krūmiņa · updated October 2026
Open banking — often labelled "pay by bank" or "instant bank payment" in a cashier — sends you from the casino cashier to your own bank, where you approve a pre-filled payment with your usual login. You then return to the cashier with the deposit credited. No card number is typed anywhere, which is the main reason many players prefer it.
Availability depends on your country, your bank and the operator's payment partners. Seeing the option elsewhere does not mean it will be in your cashier.
The set of methods and the limits depend on the account — check the cashier.
What a deposit looks like
- In the cashier, choose the pay-by-bank option and select your bank.
- Enter the amount and continue.
- Your bank's login page or app opens — sign in as usual.
- Check the recipient name and the amount, then approve.
- You are redirected to the cashier; the balance updates.
The recipient shown by your bank may be a payment provider or a company name rather than the casino brand. That is normal, but write it down: if questions arise later, your bank and the support team will refer to that recipient.
Why the account holder matters
With open banking the operator receives information about the paying account. If you log in to a partner's or a business account, the name will not match your player profile. The deposit may go through, but at withdrawal time the mismatch becomes a reason for a hold. Use only a personal account in your own name.
And the withdrawal?
Pay by bank is a deposit mechanism. Withdrawals typically go out as a regular bank transfer — often to the same account the deposit came from. That is convenient: the account holder is already known, so the cashier does not need to check a new recipient. Look at the withdrawal section to see whether your account is pre-filled or whether you need to type the account number; if you type it, use the same account you paid from.
When a payment fails
- Error before your bank opens — often a temporary provider issue; try later or choose another method.
- Your bank declines — check your online banking limits and settings, or ask the bank why the payment was stopped.
- Money taken, balance unchanged — keep the statement and contact support with the date, amount and payment reference.
Who it suits
Players who would rather not enter card details on third-party pages, who use online banking daily and who want a simple route back for withdrawals. If you prefer cards, compare with Visa and Mastercard. Before your first withdrawal, complete verification — a bank statement showing your name and address often doubles as proof of address.
